Yesterday we had a lovely day with our local friend visiting Zaanse Schans, a local historical area where you can see a lot of old windmills and cute little houses. The windmills were moved to this site to preserve them and I can imagine in the summer this area would be crawling with people. Although there were several tour buses when we arrived, it wasn't too crowded and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day, if a little windy!
